Etisalat University College (EUC) traces its roots back to 1989 when it initially started as Etisalat College of Engineering. In the beginning the College ran a single program leading to a diploma in Communication Engineering. Within two years the College introduced the Bachelor of Communication Engineering program. The engineering programs were expanded further in 1997 with the introduction of the Bachelor of Electronic Engineering and the Bachelor of Computer Engineering programs. Within a relatively short period of its establishment, the College established an excellent reputation for the provision of high quality programs and graduates. This reputation resulted in the accreditation of its programs both nationally and internationally.

EUC offers a range of programs that are designed to be flexible, competitive and intellectually stimulating. It provides students with excellent academic and welfare services including a comprehensive library collection, computing facilities, laboratories and workshops in addition to English language learning laboratories, accommodation as well as sports and recreational facilities.

American University of Sharjah (AUS) was founded in 1997 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE and Ruler of Sharjah, who envisioned the university as a leading educational institution in the Gulf region. Troy University, ITS Sharjah Campus was initially established to cater to nearly one hundred and fifty students who were abandoned by the shifting of the Arab Maritime Transport Academy to Egypt in 1990. Its facilities were taken over with the blessing of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Quasimi and his brother Sheikh Abdulla Bin Mohammed Al Quasimi, the present chancellor. Troy University, ITS Sharjah Campus later established the American model transfer program at the undergraduate level in September 1990. In 1991 Wesgreen International School was founded and in the years since it has grown to become one of the most successful schools in the area. Now we offer a first class education, based on the British Curriculum, for all ages from Nursery to Grade 11.
