The Gold & Diamond Park officially opened on May 29, 2001, 18 months after construction work began.
Phase One of this Emaar Properties venture features an air-conditioned ground floor retail facility housing 38 retail shops, all of which are leased out. The park also includes a three-storey manufacturing block composed of 118 manufacturing units.

Construction work is now underway on Phase Two and Three which will significantly extend and enhance the facilities. A total of 154 additional manufacturing units are to be provided as well as three office blocks which will each consist of ground floor showrooms and two stories of 200 business offices. A central food offer, in an open courtyard area, will be accessible to all three office blocks.

The Visitor's Retail Centre will be extended to a central open air courtyard surrounded by 30 retail units in a range of sizes, a large coffee shop and restaurant. Parking and underground parking for over 750 cars. The new expansion will be ready by July 2006.
