The UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation was established in 1992 under the Chairmanship of His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Executive Council.

Dubai Chess and Culture Club is distinguished as being the most modern and biggest dedicated chess club in the world. Its players constitute the ‘backbone” of the UAE national team, and as a matter of fact those players have achieved outstanding successes on all levels. The number of players registered with the Club is 107, and the Club is run by a board of 7 members, in addition to a technical team consisting of secretaries and coaches. All the players are registered with the UAE Chess Federation in all age categories, out of whom there is 4 international masters (Saeed Ahmed Saeed, Nasser Ahmed Saeed, Mansour Abdullah Mohammed and Taleb Mousa), and 2 FIDE masters (Osman Mousa and Mohammed Abdul Rahim), besides other players who have represented the Club over the years in the UAE team championships. The Club has monopolized such championships for 15 years, and such monopoly was interrupted only in 1995 when the Club withdrew from that year’s championship for organizational reasons. On the organizational level, the Dubai Chess and Culture Club has organized several continental and international events
