The UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation was established in 1992 under the Chairmanship of His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Executive Council.

His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan presides over the Board of Directors of the Federation. The other officials include Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Qassimi, Board Member, Hussein Mohammed Hussein, Secretary General and Ahmed Ateeq Al Romaithi is the Finance Manager. The members of the board include Adnan Sultan Al Nuaimi, Ziyad Abdulla Galadari, Mohammed Rashid bin Ghadayer, Sultan M. Khalifa and Malih al Basty.
