Sharjah Library lies in Muailiah area close to university city in Sharjah city with an area of 20,000 square meters and can accommodate 549 people at a time. Its a public library which opens its doors to all members of society from Saturday to Thursday from 8.00 A.M. to 8.00 P.M. continuously except Fridays and other official holidays. No conditions for entering and make use of library resources.
The Sharjah library contains more than 3,00,000 volums with future accommodation of one million volumes and other future development plan.

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry was formed following an Amiri Decree issued in 1970 by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. It aim has been to take part in organizing economic life and support trade, industrial and professional sectors at all levels in cooperation with other local departments in the interest of the country.

Founded in the year 1927, Sharjah Municipality is one of the oldest municipalities in the UAE and the Arab Gulf region.
Its modern system is initiated when in the year 1971 a decree was issued defining its domain of activities to embrace the supervision of all public utilities and the rendering of various services.
The decree gave the Municipality a strong start to work towards a civilized and economically and socially well-developed emirate. However, in this short expose the role of the Municipality cannot be detailed.
The Municipality is a civil governing institute that manages all services and utilities offered to the modern civil society.
